COMPLETIONS ENGINEER (English/Chinese Speaking) H/F (Mining)

About Our Client

Our client is a leading industrial player operating in Guinea, currently undergoing a critical development phase for a major project. Working closely with renowned international partners, the company is defined by its technical excellence and a dynamic multicultural environment. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the finalization, handover, and commissioning of complex industrial facilities.

Your Main Missions

Reporting to the Project Team and working in direct liaison with contractors, you will ensure the integrity of completion data. As a Completions Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Completions Database Management: Administer, update, and ensure the reliability of the system (Smart Completions or similar) used to track Mechanical Completion and Pre-commissioning status.
• Technical & Linguistic Interface: Act as the primary bridge with the main Contractor (EPC), utilizing your Chinese (Mandarin) and English skills to facilitate technical communication, troubleshoot issues, and smooth out workflows.
• Reporting & Data Analysis: Design and maintain dynamic dashboards using Power BI; utilize SQL and VBA to extract data, automate reports, and analyze project progress indicators.
• Handover Package Management: Supervise the preparation, verification, and compilation of Mechanical Completion dossiers and final Handover packages for operations.
• Quality Control: Verify that data entered by subcontractors complies with project requirements and engineering standards.

The Profile We Are Looking For

Education & Experience

• College Degree in Computer Science/IT or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process).
• Prior work experience in an industrial, mining, or construction environment is preferred.
• Significant Asset : Previous experience working with a Completions Database for mechanical completion and commissioning.

Technical & Linguistic Skills

• Languages : Full professional proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is mandatory. French is a plus.
• Advanced IT Skills : Strong database management skills. Working knowledge of VBA (Excel) and SQL coding is highly desirable to support data automation.
• Business Intelligence : Proficiency in Power BI for reporting purposes.
• Industry Software : Familiarity with Smart Completions software or similar Commissioning tools is a strong plus.
