HR OFFICER H/F (MINING)

We are looking for an HR Officer for a mining company based in Lero.
The HR Officer will support the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with company standards and local labor laws. The position is based in Lero and requires a strong command of English to ensure effective communication in a bilingual and multicultural environment. The HR Officer will handle recruitment, employee relations, training coordination, administrative HR tasks, and support overall organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the full cycle of recruitment: job posting, screening, interviews, onboarding, and integration
- Prepare and manage employment contracts, HR files, and employee records
- Support performance management processes and employee evaluations
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies
- Coordinate staff training and development programs
- Assist in the preparation of HR reports, headcount tracking, and workforce analytics
- Support internal communication and employee engagement initiatives
- Manage employee leave, absences, and timesheets
- Act as a liaison between employees and management for HR-related queries
- Contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive working environment
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned by the HR Manage
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bac + 5 in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR position, preferably in an international or mining environment
- Fluent in French and English (spoken and written);
- Good knowledge of Guinea’s labor law and HR best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Team player, proactive, and able to work under pressure
