About our client

Our client is a prominent and dynamic financial institution operating in Guinea. As a key player in the national banking sector, they are currently expanding their Corporate Banking division to better serve international partners. Recognising the strategic importance of Chinese investment in Guinea (particularly in mining, infrastructure, and construction), they are launching a dedicated initiative to become the preferred banking partner for Chinese enterprises operating in the region.

Your Main Missions

As the Key Account Manager (Chinese Desk), you will act as the bridge between the bank and the Chinese business community. Your primary goal is to acquire, develop, and manage a portfolio of Chinese corporate clients.

You will be responsible for:

  • Business Development & Prospecting: Proactively identifying and approaching Chinese companies established in or entering the Guinean market to offer them tailored banking solutions.
  • Relationship Management: Acting as the single point of contact for Chinese clients, building strong, long-term relationships based on trust and cultural understanding ("Guanxi").
  • Product Sales: Promoting and selling a wide range of financial products, including Trade Finance (Letters of Credit, Guarantees), FX services, cash management, and credit facilities.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitoring the activities of Chinese economic operators in Guinea to anticipate their financial needs and propose relevant services.
  • Advisory & Support: Assisting Chinese clients in navigating the local banking landscape and regulatory environment in Guinea.
  • Internal Collaboration: Working closely with the Credit, Operations, and Legal departments to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery for your clients.

The Profile We Are Looking For

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Banking, International Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in B2B Sales, Corporate Banking, or Business Development, ideally involving international clients.

Required Technical Skills

  • Language Proficiency: Mandarin (Fluent/Native), French (Fluent) or English (Fluent) are mandatory. You must be able to negotiate complex contracts in all two languages.
  • Solid understanding of banking products (Trade Finance, FX, Lending) and corporate financial needs.
  • Ability to analyse financial statements and assess credit risk (basic level).
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
