With nearly 30 years of experience, our client is an international company specialized in the execution of infrastructure and renewable energy projects in emerging markets. Known for its strong focus on operational excellence, efficiency, and delivery performance, the company relies on robust planning and control processes to ensure project success.

To support major projects in Sub-Saharan Africa, our client is reinforcing its Project Controls function and is currently seeking a skilled Planner Manager to lead planning activities and ensure timely and efficient project execution.

Your main missions

As a Planning Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the executive planning of infrastructure services, mechanical and electromechanical industrial assembly, automation, and commissioning.
  • Managing the schedule of construction stages by applying control and management tools.
  • Working with multidisciplinary engineering, production, and project teams to ensure control and maintenance of the project schedule.
  • Indicating, supporting, and conducting hiring processes for subcontractors and service providers, focusing on quality and costs.
  • Contributing to the implementation of alternatives for cost optimization and advancement of services.
  • Monitoring contract performance based on cost control and management.
  • Defining and applying methods to manage productivity indicators and economic-financial results, seeking effectiveness in forecasting results and minimizing contractual distortions.
  • Calculating monthly productivity and contract costs for each activity, analyzing results against targets, and defining alternatives for optimization.
  • Supporting the Contract Manager in the preparation of economic and financial reports.
  • Preparing and approving measurements with the client and forwarding reports for invoicing.

The profile we are looking for

Education & Experience

  • Formal education in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Required Training: Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Education Level: Doctorate (Note: Document lists Doctorate and Complete).
  • Minimum experience required: 10 years.

Required Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in project or similar software used for planning.
  • Methods for risk assessment and analysis in infrastructure contracts.
  • Management of physical and financial schedules of large works.
  • Fluency in French and English
