About our client

Our client is a major player operating in the infrastructure works and industrial assembly sector. They are involved in large-scale international projects in Africa, particularly on ECP+F contract models.

Main Responsibilities

As Project Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Global Management: Manage the activities of planning, production, engineering, HSE, quality, automation, implementation, commissioning, administration and finance, aiming to achieve the levels of customer satisfaction, as well as reaching the expected profitability of each project.
  • Resource Optimization: To manage and optimise resources, whether human, material, financial or equipment, in order to meet the executive timetable and pre-established targets with the clients.
  • Commercial Partnership: To work in partnership with the commercial area in negotiations of costs, deadlines and other demands with the client in order to obtain operational gains without affecting the relationship and trust.
  • Cost Management: Manages the operational, direct and indirect costs of the services carried out.
  • Innovation: To encourage research into technological innovations that enable the company's know-how to advance, generating competitive differentials in the market.
  • Logistics & Infrastructure: To guarantee operational infrastructure, such as lodging, food, safety and health during both the mobilization and demobilization of the projects, complying with the legal criteria and technical requirements of the foreseen standards.
  • Contract Administration: Carrying out Contractual Administration, performing risk management of Contracts in order to mitigate possible risks and increase the capacity for results.
  • Supply Chain: Managing contracts with Suppliers and Subcontractors, in the acquisition of products or services.
  • Compliance & Ethics: To defend and disseminate the observance of the standards of legal requirements pertinent to the Business, to legislation in all spheres, to relations with the government, justice and society in general, defending and consolidating ethical standards of action within the rules and standards of compliance methodology.
  • QHSE Management: To guide and ensure that the employees under their responsibility apply the rules and procedures of quality, environment, occupational health, safety and social responsibility in their activities.
  • Corporate Standards: Guide and ensure that the employees under their responsibility are aware of and work in accordance with the rules and standards related to Compliance, the Code of Ethics and the Anti-Bribery Policy.

The profile we are looking for

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum experience of 10 years.

Required Technical Skills

  • Management of infrastructure works in international projects (Africa).
  • Manager on ECP+F model contract.
  • Construction methods in infrastructure and industrial assembly works.
  • Fluent English and French

Essential Personal Qualities

  • Leadership (Completeness Level: ability to act alone and teach beginners).
  • Ability to work in partnership with commercial areas.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and compliance.
